David was born in Massachusetts, but by the time he was a teen it and been ceded to New Hampshire.

David was married twice, and when he died he was buried beside his first wife, Sarah/Sally (Rea) Patch.

David had 7 children with Sarah/Sally Rea.

Mary was also married twice.
First to Nathaniel Evans and had four children.
Nathaniel Evans, Jr. b. c1914 ME died an infant.

Mary, a widow for a second time after ten years of marriage to David Patch moved (along with some of her children and step-children) with her married Toothaker siblings to Ohio. In the spring of 1841 she moved to Henry Co, Iowa where she had purchased land.

Mary died in Iowa and was buried next to her daughter-in-law, Marilla (Austin) Patch.
