Nanette was born in Rockford, Illinois on February 4, 1930, the daughter of Roy and Rachel (Carle) Smith.
She worked as a 5th grade teacher at Coyne Center School in Sherrard, Illinois. After retirement Nanette worked as the director of Denkmann Hauberg House, Rock Island, Illinois. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church, Decatur, and former member of the South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, M.H. Chapter P.E.O. and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at Millikin University.
Nanette married Robert Oliver Williams February 12, 1950 in Decatur, Illinois and he preceded her in death in November of 1997. Also preceding her in death were one brother and one sister.
She is survived by her children, David (Lisa) Williams of Brandon, Florida, Diane (Robert) Dunn of Decatur and Linda (David) Bart of Albuquerque, New Mexico and grandchildren, Blair (Dana) Dunn, Kelsey (Peter) Gibbs, Molly Dunn and Drew Dunn.
