Martinsburg, WV -- PHYLLIS AMELIA PAINTER, 61, of Rt. 5, died Wednesday at Kings Daughters Hospital. Born in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of William Edward and Rhoda Virginia Thornberry Butts. Her husband, James Osbourne Painter preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Griffith, Round Hill, Md.; and Mrs. Virginia Green, Illinois; son, Robert Allen Painter, Martinsburg; four sisters, Mrs. Maxine Breenden, Shenandoah Junction; Mrs. Ruth Seviour, Silver Spring, Md.; and Mrs. Winfred Chapman and Mrs. Leona Martin, both of Charles Town.
Services were held at the Brown Funeral Home. Burial in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
