OBITUARY

Mrs. Frances Edmunds Kirkland, 87, widow of Barney E. Kirkland, died Sunday, September 23rd at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington, Georgia.

Mrs. Kirkland, daughter of the late Roy and Thelma Ashley Edmunds, was born in Lincoln County on October 2nd, 1930. She grew up in Lincolnton and had been a resident of Lake Crossing Health Care for many years. She was one of the most jovial people that one would ever meet and she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, singing in the church choir and spending time with those she loved.

Survivors include her son, David Holloway and wife Pam of Pinopolis, SC; daughter, Jenny Keeter and husband Ethan of Hanahan, SC; grandchildren, Brent Holloway and wife Amanda of Smyrna, Ga, Jami Brazil and husband Sean of Orlando, FL, and Alanah Keeter and Olivia Keeter of Hanahan, SC ; great- grandchildren, Oliver Holloway, Imogen Holloway, Atticus Holloway, Cruz Brazil and Eden Brazil and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Louise Kirkland, her sisters, Martha Ashmore and Sybil Popham.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lake Crossing Nursing Home and Dr. Robert Williams.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September, 27th, 2018 at 11am at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
