Services for Mrs. Mary Bell Wheeler Taggart were held Thursday, November 2, from Lone Oak Church with Hoyet Hathcock and Charlie Nichols, ministers officiating. She passed away October 31 at Tyler Holmes Hospital. Burial was with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Taggart was born in Lowndes County, November 11, 1892 and in 1906 married the late Archie C. Taggart. Mrs. Taggart had taught school in both Alabama and Mississippi. She was a member of the Winona Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, J. R. Taggart, Winona; three sisters, Mrs. J. B. Carroll and Mrs. M. A. Dodson, Columbus, Mrs. J. A. Logan, Steen, two brothers, R. Wheeler Sr., Columbus, W. R. Wheeler, Steen, 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were E. L. Dodson, J. C. Logan, M. L. Wheeler, Bruce Smith, M. Mason and D. B. Wheeler.
