Joan Fradley, 92, of New Paltz, New York passed away peacefully on Monday May 2, 2022, at Woodland Pond in New Paltz.
Born February 8, 1930, in Brockton, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Michael V. and Katherine (McCarthy) Creedon.
She graduated from Simmons College in Boston in 1950, and on August 8, 1953, Joan married Peter G. Fradley in Westfield, New Jersey. They had 65 happy years together before his passing in October of 2018.
Joan was employed by Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President, until her retirement in 1990.
Joan had a lifelong love of classical music, was involved in local and national politics, and enjoyed photography, gardening and poetry. First and foremost, she was devoted to her family.
Survivors include her devoted children, Joanne O'Brien of Pine Bush, NY, Amy Fradley and her husband, David Strickland of Victor, ID, and Kenneth Fradley of Key West, FL; her two grandchildren, Anjelica O'Brien of Pine Bush, NY and Laurence P. O'Brien of Pine Bush, NY; and her great grandson of Pine Bush, NY.

A graveside service will be held at Beech Grove Cemetery on Saturday, October 8, 2022 for both Joan and Peter Fradley. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Simmons College in Boston, MA in Joan's name or in both of their names to Westport Council on the Aging.
