Graveside services for Mary Wright Anthony, 91 , of Butler, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Butler Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Anthony passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Emory University Hospital. She was a member of Butler United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. Mrs. Anthony was a social worker with Taylor County Department of Children and Family Services for over 30 years. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was a loving wife and mother and she dearly loved her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Susie Cooper Wright; her husband , Lovick Pierce Anthony; three brothers, Charlie Wright, Elmo Wright and Elton Wright, and one sister, Helen Dennard.

Survivors include two sons, Lovick P. Anthony, Jr. of Butler and Henry F. Anthony (Carol Geiger) of Roswell; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
