Age 96, of Millcreek Township, daughter of the late James and Marie Niedzielski Von Kaenel.
Dolores was a legal secretary for the Knox Law Firm for many years, and later was the executive director for the Erie County Bar Association. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, their Altar Rosary Society, and the Golden Girls. She did volunteer work when living in Ohio and enjoyed big band music.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Alex, her second husband, Charles Johnston, her son-in-law, Michael Buccigrossi, her stepson, Bruce Johnston and her five siblings, James L. VonKaenel, Betty Jane Seth, Robert VonKaenel, Jerry VonKaenel and Nancy Forne.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Buccigrossi of Greene Township and Beverly Alex of Charlotte, N.C., four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Betty VonKaenel of Millcreek, many nieces and nephews, stepchildren; and step-grandchildren.
