Cape Neddick, Maine - Kingsbury Putnam Bragdon, 83 of Clay Hill Rd., passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at home with his family by his side. He was born November 4, 1934 in York, Maine a son of the late Kingsbury Putnam and Josephine V. (Hayes) Bragdon Sr.

He attended York High School and left in February of 1953, to serve in the United States Air Force. He served for over 20 years and was a true military man and American Hero. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years before retiring.

He had a genuine passion for antique automobiles that he shared with his dear friend Charlie Pratt. He will be remembered for the love of his country, for never leaving the house without an American Flag pinned to his jacket or shirt ,and for his sense of humor.

He leaves his wife of 13 years Veronica (McKenna) Bragdon; three sons Michael, Kingsbury, and Mark, and their families; a brother Donald Bragdon, 3 sisters Eleanor Fiske, Gloria Pratt and Ann Ballard and their families; his beloved dog a Yorkshire Terrier named April; many nieces, nephews and friends.

His first wife Nina (Davis) Bragdon and a sister Joan Geary predeceased him.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, September 11, in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine. A funeral home service for King will take place at 11am on Wednesday, September 12, with burial and Military Honors to follow in the First Parish Cemetery.
