Dr. Marvin Q. "Que" Sanner, MD, 91, formerly of Rockwood and Alexandria, Va., passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, in Harbour Senior Living, Monroeville. Born Jan. 12, 1927, in Rockwood, he was a son of the late Ira and Emma V. (Schrock) Sanner. Que was a graduate of Rockwood High School, University of Pittsburgh and University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He served our country in the Air Force as a surgeon. Que began his medical career as a physician in the Russelton Miner's Clinic of Apollo in 1959. He and his late wife, Mary, moved to Alexandria, Va., where Que began his own private practice in 1960. His practice was open for 32 years until his retirement in 1992. Que enjoyed raising beef cattle on his farm in Gettysburg. He would work the private practice Monday through Wednesday, then he and Mary would drive to Gettysburg and farm their 162 acres of land. He loved hunting rattlesnakes and was a world traveler. In addition to his parents, Que was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Julian) Sanner, who passed away Nov. 23, 1996; and eight brothers and sisters. Que is survived by his brother, Merle Sanner, of Rockwood; nieces, Majorie A. O'Neil, of Harrison City, Adele M. "Pinky" (John) Ameno, of Washington Township, and Rebecca (John) Thomas, of Fort Myers, Fla.; nephew, James (Jenny) Kaufman, of Rockwood; and many additional nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until the blessing service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, in the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, with Father James Loew, OSB, officiating. Private burial will take place alongside his wife in St. Gertrude Cemetery.
