Glyn Draughn, age 86 1/2, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He left a legacy and heartwarming stories of growing up on a large farm in Perry County, MS. He was a graduate of New Augusta High School and attended college for three years at the University of Southern Mississippi. His education was put on hold when he was called to active duty with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and served four years. He moved to Pascagoula in 1958, and was employed with Mississippi Chemical until his retirement. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, relative, and friend to all. He celebrated 59 years together with the love of his life, Evelyn. He proudly noted the accomplishments of his two grandsons and his love for family. He was a longtime member of Gautier Church of Christ and was very passionate about Christian and family values.

Glyn was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frances Eubanks Draughn, and brother, Walter E. Draughn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Deen Draughn of Pascagoula, MS; two daughters, L. Jane (George) Davis of Mobile, AL and Joyce (Johnny) Bowman of Big Point, MS; two grandsons, Jonathon Bowman and Glyn Draughn (Ashleigh) Bowman; two brothers, Ray (Mary) Draughn of Hattiesburg, MS and Malcolm (Joyce) Draughn of Petal, MS; sister, Sara Keyes of Denham Springs, LA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

The visitation for Glyn will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. Allen Born and Leroy McGaughy officiating. Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point with Michael Draughn, Tim Mason, Steve Rouse, Mike Easterling, Dale Odum, Jonathon Bowman, Glyn Bowman, and Johnny Bowman serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Hankins, Rickey Draughn, and George Davis.
