ROZEL - Seraphine "Sarah" Anna Margaret Kershner, 93, died Apirl 24, 2007, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City.
She was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Antonino, the daughter of John and Catherine Wassinger Sauer. A lifetime resident of Pawnee County, she was a farm wife.
She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, and was a former resident of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Burdett, and the Quilting Club, Rozel.
On March 11, 1941, she married LeRoy "Roy" Kershner in LaCrosse. He died Nov. 6, 1983.
Survivors include: two sons, Larry, Midland, Mich., and Ron, Scott City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers, George, Duke, Bill, Albert, Carl, Vincent, John, and an infant Jacob, and seven sisters, Dorothy Gassman, Nary Ann Goately, Mary Eva Fox, Barbara Pfannenstiel, Ludwina Simmons and two infant sisters.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, at Beckwith Mortuary, Chapel, Larned. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdett.
Memorials may be sent to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Burdett-Rozel EMS, both in care of the mortuary.
