Funeral services for Sarah Christeen Downs, 84, will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe under the direction of Rev. Shane Warren and Rev. Butch Pilcher. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 17, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Sarah was born on August 3, 1934 in Whitt, TX and passed away on September 15, 2018 in West Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Ola Mae Peugh; and a son, Marvin E. Downs, Jr. Sarah was a faithful member of The Assembly of West Monroe where she loved to serve the Lord.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 63 years, Rev. Marvin E. Downs; daughter, Belinda Downs Reep; son-in-law, Jonathan Reep; grandchildren, Jessica, Crystal, Jaclyn, and Jonathan; great-granchild, Joshua; and sisters, Eula Mae Smith and Lavene Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Joe Peacock, Andy Varino, Paul Frost, Jason George, William Jones II, and Mike Wade.
