Olgie (Gough) Cooper, 84, Kingston Baptist Retirement Center, died Monday. Born Dec. 27, 1911 in Ward Springs, she was the daughter of Arthur and Vernie Mae (Morrison) Gough. She was a former resident of McAlester and moved to Baptist Retirement Center in Kingston two and a half years ago. She married Robert L. Cooper on Dec. 8, 1934 in Holdenville and worked as a secretary for the OSU Extension Service, retiring in 1976. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee and Anita Cooper, Denison, Texas; two grandchildren, Mark Cooper, Springdale, Ark., and Sara Hansen, Euless, Texas. And four great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Leslie Cooper of Colbert, and Bethany and Brice Hansen, Euless, Texas; and a sister, Verna Gough of Owasso. She was preceded in death by her husband. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Earl Perry officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney's Funeral Home of McAlester.
