PROUSE - On the 8th instant (accidentally shot on the rifle range at Waverley), Richard Prouse, of Whenuakura, aged 32 years

MAN SHOT AT RIFLE RANGE
Trooper Prouse, of the Wairoa Light Horse, was shot at the rifle range at Waverley on Saturday last. It appears that the deceased was marking and came out of the butt, without putting out the danger board. Trooper Watt fired at the time and shot Prouse dead. The deceased leaves a wife and 6 children
