Mrs. Vena Wilson, 77 dies at her home here

Mrs Vena Phillips Wilson, 77, died at her home in Indianola on Tuesday, September 30. She was a resident of Indianola for 51 years.

She was born in Eupora, Mississippi. She married the late Charles Dell Wilson in 1919 and moved to Indianola in 1925.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by four sons, Herbert "Monk" Wilson of Gulfport. Joseph W "Pot" Wilson and Charles D “Krip'' Wilson both of Indianola. Thomas 0 "Pete" Wilson of Ruleville, and one sister, Mrs Vera Walker of Drew.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p m at the Second Baptist Church of Indianola with the Reverand Doyle Cummings officiating. Burial followed in City Cemetery with Card Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Ray Whelan, Frank Bellipanni. Joe Fratesi, Emmett Lott, James Hall and Oliver Way.

Mrs Vena Phillips Wilson, 77, died at her home in Indianola on Tuesday, September 30. She was a resident of Indianola for 51 years.
