Amy Bothun funeral Saturday in Chatfield

CHATFIELD -- The funeral for Amy L. Bothun will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Chatfield Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with the Rev. Laurel Thorstensen officiating. Burial will be in Chatfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Bothun, 69, a longtime resident of Chatfield, died Tuesday evening (Oct. 31, 1995) at her home of cancer.

The former Amy Hoiseth was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Rushford. She lived there until the age of six and moved with her family to Chatfield, where she has livedresided since. On Nov. 19, 1947, she married Irvin Bothun in Chatfield. Mrs. Bothun was a housekeeper at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield for 19 years. Mr. Bothun died in 1973.

She is survived by three sons, Danny "Buck",' Kenneth "Lars" and Donald "Ole" all of Chatfield; two daughters, Lois Barnes and LouAnn Bothun, both of Chatfield; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald ''Dooley'' Hoiseth of Chatfield. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield. Friends may also call one hour before services at the church.
