Mike loved his three brothers Robert, Douglas and Aaron; they were the best of friends. He was a great husband and wonderful father to his son Brady.
During his lifetime he lived in Spokane, Portland, Seattle, New Orleans and Homer, Alaska. He met his future wife, Kelly Glidden, in New Orleans in 2006. They were married in Homer soon after, where he chose to make his permanent home.
Mike made hundreds of friendships and was a kind and generous person; he made people feel important. They loved his wit and sense of humor, and his laugh was contagious.
Mike was also an excellent guitarist, a highly skilled carpenter and loved discussing the mysteries of the universe, being a fan of Art Bell and using his telescope often; he was also well-read regarding quantum physics and politics. He was a lifelong fan of the University of Nebraska football...GO HUSKERS!!
He will be deeply missed by all.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kelly, and son Brady; his mother Mary Jo and step-father, Dee Wilson, from Tacoma, WA; his father Keith from Spokane, WA; his brother Robert of Puyallup, WA and brother Aaron (Marlene) of Roswell, NM; his maternal grandfather Leo Compton (Bev) of Boise, ID, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Douglas; his paternal grandparents Martin and Mildred Werts; and his maternal grandmother Colleen Compton Atkinson.
