Funeral services for Vivian Murphy Lott, 92, of Blackville, SC will be held at two o'clock p.m., Monday, December 12, 2022 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Carl Kleinholz officiating; burial will be in the Blackville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Day Break of Aiken and Edisto Hospice of Orangeburg for all of the love, care, and concern that they have shown Mrs. Vivian. A special thank you to her caregivers, Mary Ann Reed and Richie Jenkins. Mrs. Vivian passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Born in Aiken County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick Murphy and Myrtle Powell Murphy and was married to the late Claude Martin Lott, Sr. She was a member of Edisto Baptist Church where she was involved with various committees and activities. She was a clerk and the bookkeeper for Daniels Pharmacy in Blackville, SC for many years. She was valedictorian of her graduating class. She enjoyed gardening and fishing and loved being outdoors.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda Gail Lott and Dr. James R. Edinger of Orangeburg, SC; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne H. Lott, Sr. and Julia M. Lott; grandchildren, Whitney N. Lott (Justin Craft) of Swansea; Wayne H. Lott, Jr. (MeMe Morrison) of Swansea; great grandson, William Wade Craft and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Claude Martin "Marty" Lott, Jr. and her brother, Joseph Clifford Murphy, Sr.
