APRIL 19, 1944 ~ SEPTEMBER 11, 2018

David Glenn Focht Sr., 74, Claysburg, passed away Tuesday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Glenn David and Elizabeth “Betty” (Walls) Focht.
On June 8, 1966, he married Nancy Lee Walter in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are his wife, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage; two sons: David Glenn II and fiancee, Cheryl, of Cumberland, Md. and Robert Lorne and wife, Kara, of Butte, Mont.; five grandchildren: Jessica, Chelsie, Lorne, Tommi and Gabriel; three great-grandchildren: Keeili, Cooper and Koltin; a sister, Kathy Metzler and husband, Tim, of Williamsburg; and two brothers: Jim and wife, Carol, in Virginia and Ted and wife, Myrna, in Arizona.
David retired from New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. after 25 years of service as a mixer driver.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict where he was a door gunner on H21 Shawnee Helicopter.
He formerly attended the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren and he was a member of the Teamsters.
David enjoyed their family dog, TeddyBear, hunting and four-wheeling.
Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where military rites will be accorded by the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorials may be given in care of the family or to Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
