Mr. Charlie Burzynski, Sr., 84, of the Plantersville/Stoneham community, died Thursday, September 2, 1999 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. A lifelong resident of Grimes County, he was a farmer and rancher and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ophelia, August 16, 1999. He is survived by his children, Charlie Burzynski, Jr. and wife Helen of Stoneham, Marvin Burzynski and wife Marilyn of White Hall, Floyd Burzynski and wife Cheryl of Stoneham and Maxine Wunderlich and husband Roy of Carmine; brother Steve Burzynski and wife Willie Mae of Stoneham; sisters, Ann Rosilier and husband Vincent of Houston and Lucy Bohack of Navasota and 4 grandsons, Matt, Blake, Ryan and Jay Burzynski. A rosary and vigil service will be held 7:00 pm Sunday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stoneham. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Edward C. Kucera, Jr. as the celebrant. The rite of committal will follow in St. Joseph's Church Cemetery.
