She was born Nov. 3, 1892 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and came to this area in a covered wagon. She married William H. Kessler on Sept. 9, 1909 in Kankakee. He died in August 1953.
Mrs. Kessler was a member of the Momence United Methodist Church and the Ruth Circle of the church. Her other memberships included the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include a son, John, of Bradley; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Lillian Sodeman, six brother and one sister are deceased.
Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Cotter Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Momence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Carlson officiating.
Burial will be in the Shrontz Cemetery.
