William Rufus Steed was the son of Thomas Joseph Steed and Susannah "Anna" Davis. He was married to Drucilla Maud Hollingsworth 26 Nov 1892 in Morgan, Morgan County, Utah.

Rufus Steed of Clinton passed away at the hospital in Salt Lake City, Saturday.

Rufus Steed passed away at St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake City Saturday, of typhoid-pneumonia.
His wife had just recovered from a siege of typhoid and one of their little girls is still quite sick with the disease.
Deceased was the son of Thomas J. Steed of Clearfield and Anna Davis Steed. He was thirty-two years old on the 9th of last January.
The funeral services were held in the Clinton ward, Monday at 2 p.m.
He married Maud Hollingsworth, a grand dauaghter of the late William Kilburn.
They lived in Weber valley a number of years after they were married, also in Woodruff, Rich Co.
A wife and five children survive him.
