Dorothy Goodman, 96, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at St. Vincent's Hospital. She was born April 6, 1922, in Evansville to the late Ariel and Lilly Hunt. Dorothy graduated from Reitz High School and worked as a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. She was a woman of strong faith and an avid church attendee at Barker Avenue Primitive Baptist Church. Dorothy was always putting others first, caring for family and friends ahead of herself. She keep her sense of humor till the end. Dorothy is survived by her son, Dennis (Diana) Biggs, of Evansville; daughter, Kathleen (Myra) Pulley , of Evansville; and son, David L. (Carol) Goodman, of Evansville; grandchildren, Patrick Biggs, Regina Pulley, Heather (Rob) Acton, Sandra Niehaus and Tara Davis; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Emerson Biggs and most recent husband, Marion Goodman; brother, Clayton Hunt and sister, Lois Mills. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 South Hebron Avenue, Evansville, funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Elder David Murphy officiating.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Barker Avenue Primitive Baptist Church, 50 S Barker Ave, Evansville, IN 47712. Published in Courier Press on Sept. 10, 2018
