CALICO - Mr. Billy Ray Haddock, 82, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at his home.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 3 PM at Pleasant Hill OFWB Church. Burial will follow in the Haddock Family Cemetery.
Billy Ray was a lifelong resident of the Calico community. He worked for a few years with the Ford Motor Co. in Vanceboro. For most of his adult life, he farmed on his multi-generational family farm. Billy Ray was an avid NASCAR fan and was a member of Pleasant Hill OFWB Church.
Billy Ray was preceded in death by his parents, G.P. and Carrie Haddock; brother, Preston Haddock, and a baby sister, Shirley Haddock.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Haddock; son, Brian Haddock and wife, Denise, of Calico; daughter, Suzette Thrift and husband, Michael, of Wilmington; grandsons, Brandon Haddock and friend, Kayla Parker, and Dillion Haddock and friend, Ashley Reynolds; great-grandson, Bentley Haddock; niece, Sharon Cannon; and nephew, Stephen Haddock.
