Mrs. Florence Stites CHARLESTON, Ill. Mrs. Florence Stites, 66, of Hindsboro, died at her home early Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harper-Swickard funeral home. Burial will be in Mound cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

She was born Aug. 5, 1899, in Morgan Township, the daughter of Edwin and Daisy Roberts Chambers. She married Wilbur Cochran, who died in 1929. She later married Walter Stites, who died in 1959. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Tillett, Clarendon Hills, and Mrs. Rozella Jolley of Hindsboro; a son, Carl Cochran, Lockport; 14 grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. Azro Cox, Charleston, and Mrs. Ralph Flenner, Decatur; a step-son, Jesse Stites, Falls Church, Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Stiff and Mrs. Virginia Gerdes, both of Charleston. Three brothers, Ray, Ralph and Glen Chambers preceded her in death.
