BAXTER-Funeral services for Margaret Allison Maxwell, 87, of Baxter will be held Monday, September 10 at 1 p.m. at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with John Pippin officiating. Interment will follow in Samuel Maxwell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 9 at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maxwell died Friday evening, September 7, 2018 at Life Care Center in Sparta.

She was born Friday March 29, 1931 in Putnam County to the late William Herbert and Maggie Virginia Sullivan Allison. She was wife to the late Ralph A. Maxwell Sr. (whom she married May 20, 1947). They were married for 64 years. She attended Central High School in Cookeville. Mrs. Maxwell attended the Church of Christ in Baxter.

She was retired from Red Kap where she served as supervisor with more than 33 years of service.

She is survived by two sons, Ralph Arnold Maxwell, Jr. and Jeff Maxwell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie (Charles) Dalton, and Lisa (Troy) Parks; a sister Dimple Howell, a brother Jimmy Allison; ten grandchildren, Buddy (Renata) Dalton, Jenny (Josh) Stites, Brent (Laura) Dalton, Jesse (Kelly) Dalton, Arnie and Jonathan Maxwell, Karissa, Kenzie, Alexis and Autumn Dyer; eight great grandchildren, Sofia and Enzo Dalton, Jack and Anna Quinn Stites, Molly and Cooper Dalton, and Anna Claire and Chase Dalton.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maxwell was preceded in death by her husband Ralph A. Maxwell, brothers, Hollis, Wally, Johnny V., Ralph, and Bill Allison and sisters Dorothy Nell Hargis and Marie Davis.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
