Mildred McWherter Lee, 101, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at The Green Houses At Traceway. A native of Martin, Tenn., she was born August 21, 1905 to the late George and Nancy McLain McWherter. She lived for many years in Clarksdale where she was a member of First Presbyterain Church and served as a Bible teacher. She was also a member of the Opera Study Club. After moving to Tupelo she was a member of the Saturday Reading Club and served in the Hospice Ministry of the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Caldwell and husband, Norris of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Lee Caldwell and wife, Ellen, Pat Caldwell and wife, Jennifer and Britt Caldwell and wife, Angie, all of Tupelo; five great-grandchildren, Jeffery Caldwell, Kevin Caldwell, Amy Caldwell Murphree (Jim), John Michael Caldwell and Anders Caldwell; and one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Murphree.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Brittain Lee and seven brothers and sisters.
