Survivors include her companion, Lawrence Tipton, her children, Arlie Bess, Mary Doyle, Myrtle Bedwell, Nola Clark, Debra Burd, and Dorothy Adams, her siblings, Roy Morris, Herman Morris, Louis Morris, Coy Morris, and Zona Lapel, 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James Hawkins who died on October 17, 1969.
Services were held at First Assembly of God Church in Topeka. Burial was in Carbondale Cemetery.
