Our beautiful Virginia Bigelow Barnes entered eternal life of Saturday, September 1, 2018, where the love of her life, John Eugene Barnes of 70+ years, welcomed her home.

Virginia Bigelow Barnes was born on February 3rd, 1930 in Wallsburg, Utah. She was the 8th of 12 children. Virginia married John on July 4th 1947 and settled in Kearns, Utah where they raised their five boys and two girls. Their final home was in Heber City, Utah where she has lived for the past 35 years.

Virginia was a devoted loving wife, mother and friend. Her family was her greatest pride and joy and her passions include preparing wonderful meals and creating gorgeous quilts and doilies that will be cherished and bring comfort to her family for years to come.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Loran, six brothers, three sisters and a grandson. She is survived by six of her children and their spouses: (Claudia), Steve (Karen), Shirley (Robert), Lora (Dick), John (Rayleen), Alan (Kathy) and Gale (Linda); siblings, Rex and Rose. She was “Gram” to 21 grandkids, 22 great grandchildren four GG grandchildren, and more nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Virginia their greatest gratitude.

Family and friends may gather for a viewing on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Probst Family Heber Valley Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber, 6:30-8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Heber City Stake Center. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 and the Funeral will start at 11:00 a.m.150 N 200 W, Heber City, UT Interment will be in the Wallsburg Cemetery.
