Daniel C. Clumpner, of New Auburn was 74 years of age when he passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System- Eau Claire.

Dan was born on May 7, 1944 to Alva and Josephine Clumpner in Chippewa Falls, WI. He graduated from Tomah High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Dan was an active businessman and civic leader in the Eau Claire area for the past 40 years. He was the principal and co-owner of Commonweal Development Corporation, President of Keystone Corporation, and co-manager of Haymarket Concepts, LLC. Dan served on several boards and committees throughout his professional career including the Confluence Council, Eau Claire City Plan Commission, past Chairman of the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce, past Board Member of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Foundation, Director of Nova Molecular Technologies, past Director of Mayo Health System and past President of United Way.

Dan was many things to many people; a loving husband and partner, proud father and grandfather, loyal friend, respected colleague, knowledgeable mentor, and gifted negotiator. He was the cornerstone of his family, providing leadership, compassion and always an element of fun. Dan was an avid Packer/​Badger/​Brewer fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends on Long Lake, fantasy football, Canadian fishing trips, poker night, and hunting on the family acreage near Sparta, WI.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Pablo Center at the Confluence, Eau Claire, WI. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery Monona, WI.
