Indianapolis - Dorothy Mae (Abbott) Filiatreau,102, of Indianapolis, departed this life Friday, August 31, 2018. She was born June 13, 1916 in Richmond, IN. to the late Martin and Kathryn Abbott. She was a 1934 graduate of Morton High School and then graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1937. She and her husband loved travelling. She also enjoyed bowling with Bishop Chatard's Mother's Club.
She was dedicated to her family and faith, and was a longtime and dedicated parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Vincent School of Nursing Alumni Association, The Guardian Angel Guild, St. Vincent Hospital Guild, Retired Nurses Association of Indiana, Knights of Columbus Seniors Club, and a charter member of St. Augustine Guild.
Her beloved husband of 62 years, Dr. Conroy Filiatreau, and her son, David, preceded Dorothy in death. Dorothy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joan; grandchildren, Paul (Nickie) and Laura; and great-grandson, Frank.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday, September 8th. Interment follows at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your charity of choice in Dorothy's name.
