DAYTON, Tenn., May 25. – James R. Darwin, 72, retired merchant, died at his home here tonight. He was a member of a prominent Rhea county family and father of Assistant Attorney-General Frank S. Darwin, of Chattanooga. Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Sharpe Darwin; two sons, Gordon and Kenneth Darwin, of Dayton; a daughter, Mrs. W. W. Greiner, Orangeburg, S. C., and three sisters, Mrs. W.F. Thomason, of Dayton; Mrs. W. W. Henry, Chareston, and Mrs. W. M. Abel, Knoxville. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
