JOSEPHINE MILLER DIES AT FORT WAYNE
FUNERAL TUESDAY FOR NATIVE OF GENEVA, 91
Mrs. Josephine Miller, 91, of 1342 High St., Ft. Wayne, died at 3 p.m. yesterday at Fairfield Nursing Home where she had been a patient 10 days.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Geneva, but had lived in Fort Wayne 73 years. She belonged to Bethany Presbyterian Church, the Women's Association of the church and Ben Hur Lodge 15.
Mrs. Miller was the former Josephine Smith. Her mother died when she was a young girl and she then made her home with the Frank Mazelin family for a few years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith, with Mrs. Smith being a Mazelin.
Mrs. Miller suffered a broken hip in a fall a few weeks ago. She died at the same time two of her daughters were at Geneva on Sunday attending the funeral of John Smith.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. Stauffer, with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Glen E. Callender, Edgerton, Ohio; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She had several cousins in the Berne community.
Friends may call at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. James E. Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.
