L[emuel] A[rthur] Arnold, manager of the Laclede Hotel in Plattsburg the past several years, died suddenly about three o'clock Wednesday morning, his death being due to a heart attack.
Mr. Arnold had not been feeling well for several days, but his condition had not been considered at all serious. His death came as a shock to family and friends.

L. A. ARNOLD DIED FROM HEART ATTACK
MANAGER OF LACLEDE HOTEL DIED EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING
L[emuel] A[rthur] Arnold, manager of the Laclede Hotel in Plattsburg the past several years, died suddenly about three o'clock Wednesday morning, his death being due to a heart attack.
The body is at the Lyon Funeral Home in Plattsburg.
Mr. Arnold had not been feeling well for several days, but his condition had not been considered at all serious. His death came as a shock to family and friends.
At the time The Leader is printed, funeral arrangements have not been made, other than that burial will be at Garden Grove, Iowa.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold had recently sold their interests at the Hotel, and were preparing to move to Iowa, where they planned to operate a motel. They had operated the Laclede Hotel the past seven years.
Besides Mrs. Arnold, he is survived by a son, Richard Arnold, of Stanhope, Ia., and a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Wulf, of Exira, Ia. There are five grandchildren.
