Mary Alice Derossett, 87, of Grand Tower, IL, passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, in Herrin, IL.

Mary Alice was born July 1, 1931, in Grand Tower, a daughter to the late Monroe James and Nora Evelyn (Clutts) Derossett.

She was a member of the Pilgrim Chapel Church in Grand Tower and was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the Lighthouse Christian Assembly in Grand Tower. Pastor Jim Sumner will officiate. Visitation will be from
9 a.m. until the hour of services on Monday at the church; burial will follow at Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Survivors include one brother, Kenneth Ray Derossett of Titusville, FL, and her niece and caregiver, Darlene Bludworth of DeSoto, IL. She is also survived be several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Worthen and Pauline Cavaness, and three brothers, Chuck Derossett, Paul Derossett, and James Melvin Derossett.
