Funeral services for Garnet L. Mangum, who died on Friday in Waco, were held at Finch Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. The Rev.Winston Coones officiated,with interment in the Nixon cemetery.
Mr. Mangum was born on Sept. 18, 1901 in Rancho, to Joe D. and Etta Trafton Mangum. He was married to Erna Lois Markum in Waco on Sept. 8, 1955, and had worked as a trucker driving for a butane company. He was a member of the Baptist church,and lived at 3304 Pewitt in Waco.
