When the children were young, there was always the annual fishing trips to Quebec, Canada. The three sisters looked forward to their trips to Atlantic City and Pocono Downs.

As "middle-agers," they decided to learn to polka and joined a polka club and enjoyed displaying their talents. They were members of a group that entertained locally. Jean was also a very talented seamstress, making all of the girls' clothes.
