Bonnetta L. "Bonnie" Rafferty, Age 89, of South Brady Street, DuBois, PA died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born on September 27, 1928 in Hormtown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Margaret (Thompson) McGranor.
Bonnie attended Reynoldsville High School.
On May 27, 1948 she married Lawrence "Buck" Rafferty at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reynoldsville. He survives.
Bonnie worked at Cameron Manufacturing Company in Reynoldsville; Sylvania Elect in Brookville and after many years as a stay at home mom she returned to work at JC Penney in DuBois and retired in September 1992.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hormtown. She enjoyed traveling, camping and following Buck, when he delivered a truck somewhere to bring him home. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Bonnie is survived by a son, Brad Rafferty & his wife Carol of Punxsutawney, PA; a brother, William E. McGranor & his wife Jean of Reynoldsville, PA; 2 grandchildren, Meggie Lepionka & her husband Keith of DuBois, PA and Casey Rafferty of Indiana, PA; 3 great grandchildren, Lizzie, Lainey and Lucas Lepionka and 2 sisters in law, Ann McGranor of Reynoldsville, PA and Donna Rafferty of DuBois, PA.
She was preceded in death by a brother (Dale McGranor).
There will be no public visitation.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 12 PM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Audra Krise officiating.
Burial will be in Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
