Edna Ruth Kimble, 88, of Route 3, Ridgeley, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at her residence.

Born Oct. 28, 1920, in Wiley Ford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lula (See) O'Brien.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Calvin Leonard Kimble; one sister, Ida Pyles; and two brothers, Arthur and Melvin O'Brien.

She belonged to Bethel Tabernacle Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Calvin Kimble; one son, Harold L. Kimble and fiancée Stacey D. Arnold, Winchester, Va.; one daughter, Brenda Paul and husband Charles, Route 3, Ridgeley; two sisters, Ada Fisher and Loretta Evans, both of Route 3, Ridgeley; four grandchildren, Pam Pullen, Michael Kimble, Heather Imes and Pamela Arnold; seven great- grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Cassandra, Chelsea, Cody, Cory and Jay; and her special pet, Roscoe.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Darrell S. Tichinel and the Rev. Glenn Welsh officiating.

Interment will be in Abe Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brenda Paul, Charles Paul, Mike Kimble, Jason Imes, Jay Imes, Raymond Pullen and Stoney Houdersheldt.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Potomac Valley Home Hospice, 162 S. Mineral St., Keyser, WV 26726.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marsha Combs, R.N., Sheila Fleming, CNA, Sandy Matlick, CNA, and the Potomac Valley Hospice Home Care for the love and special care they have provided. In addition, they appreciate the assistance of Aging and Family Services of Mineral County.
