L. Marie Yoder, age 83, residing in Lakeville, Indiana passed away at 12:50 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Hospice House, South Bend, Indiana.
Marie was born on January 2, 1935 in Sugar Creek, Ohio to the late Owen and Ada (Hershberger) Beachy. Marie has lived in Lakeville since 1980. She moved to South Bend in 1961 from New Paris.
On May 6, 1961 in Goshen, Indiana, Marie married Kenneth L. Yoder. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2002.
Marie is survived by three brothers, Noah Beachy of Goshen, Harold (Marybelle) Beachy of McMurray, PA and Darrel Beachy of Tasmania, Australia; sister-in-law, Susan Gelling of Kalamazoo, MI; nephews, Kevin Beachy and Dana Beachy; niece, Tina Beachy; and good friend and caregiver, Delores Stiffler of North Liberty. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hank Beachy.
Marie attended Grace United Methodist Church, South Bend. She owned and operated Marie’s Corner; an upholstery business, from 1975 to 2017.
There will be no services at this time. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will take place at Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury, IN.
