COWEN, Sr., Jack Floyd of Austin. Age 84. Died 3/18/1981 (Wed.) in a nursing home in Austin. Services in Hyltin-Manor Funeral Chapel, Austin on Saturday. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. The pastor of the Central Christian Church in Austin was the officiating minister.

He was born 5/13/1896 in Williamson Co. The son of the late D.W. and Nettie Cowen. Spent his boyhood years in Thorndale. Attended school in Thorndale and enlisted for services in WW-1 seeing overseas duty.
