Services for Edith Elizabeth Flowers, 90, of Owl Creek are 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mark Rector will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Flowers died Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at her home. She was born March 25, 1928 in Owl Creek to Robert Andrew and Sarah Roshie Roberts Sliger. She attended Stonewall School.

She married Fagen John Flowers on November 25, 1945. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1996. She received her teaching degree from Arkansas State University. Mrs. Flower’s was an elementary teacher, a pastor’s wife and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Flowers Bagley, of Keiser, AR and Sonya Rector and husband Mark of Amarillo; one son, Randy Flowers and wife Debbie of Owl Creek; one brother, Royce Sliger of Stonewall; two sisters, Jane Hatfield of Ada and June McCauley of Ft. Worth; seven grandchildren, Tara Coffee, LaShell Vaughn, John Flowers, Amy Wright, T. J. Rector, Kaitlyn Husong and Tommy Bagley; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Avana Hobbs, Vera Deaton, Marie Nickell, Verlie Flowers, J. B. Sliger, Willard Sliger, Robert Sliger and an infant sister Alvilda Sliger; one grandchild, April Dawn Vickery, and a son-in-law Joe Bagley.

Bearers will be grandsons.
