Robert Lee Sibert Jr, 60, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. He was surrounded by loving family.
Robert's family will be celebrating his life with a private service.
He was born in New Port News, Virginia on April 5th, 1958, but spent the majority of his childhood in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from West High School in Sioux City in 1977. While there, he held several records in wrestling.
Robert held a variety of jobs through the years, but ultimately his favorite was driving a semi. Robert loved the open road and talking on his CB radio. Robert went by the CB handle of "Kirby".
Robert loved to watch movies with his family, and enjoyed watching professional wrestling and Nascar on TV.
More than anything, Robert loved his family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father, and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dianna Howk of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Amanda Sibert and Fiancée Ashley Buchanan of Cedar Rapids; one son, Justin Sibert and significant other April of Plainview, NE; one sister, Rhonda Hawthorne and husband Bruce Hawthorne of Omaha, NE; one brother, Tim Sibert of South Sioux City, NE; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Sibert Sr. and Nancy (Keleher) Gusse.
