Gigi was born near Cherokee Sink, which is close to present day Wakulla Springs, Wakulla Co, FL, on land her father was farming. After her father's death in 1929 the family moved to Carrabelle, Florida to live. This is where she grew up and attended school. She married Harvey M Lowe who was from Bristol, Florida just before he joined the Navy during WWII.
Mother taught us kids to be strong and face adversity head on as many of her generation did.
