Memories of Harry Johnson
Navy – Defending his country he traveled to exotic locations and even tried his hand at Boxing.
Electrician – Took him to many exciting jobs including in New York, Epcot and NASA during the moon launch.
Creator – Constantly finding ways to turn old things into new things, much to Moms dismay. The house was never short of electrical tape or iodine.
Beekeeper and Bee charmer – Kept some of the best honey and honeycomb you could find and could not only charm the bees, but just about anyone he met.
Winemaker and Wine drinker, but only if it tasted like Grape Juice. He made an amazing Blackberry Wine.
Camper – He loved the outdoors and took us camping as often as he possibly could. We even spent one entire summer in a pop-up camper so that we could be as close as possible to family.
Gardener – He grew some of the best tomatoes around and just loved having his hands in the dirt and caring for something.
Fisherman – He loved to be out on the lake or on the ocean shore casting a line and bringing the catch, home for Mom to fry up.
Hunter, but only ever killed beer, not deer.
Mason – New Smyrna Lodge 149 F&AM
Shriner – New Smyrna Beach Shrine Club
