Alfred had many jobs, working at Gardiner Shoe, Taylor Shoe shop, Arby Haset and Tailors, Randolph Foundry, Rumstrum Brothers Construction, Shaw Stack Construction, and Sonny Barry's plowing. He also worked as a woodsman, Butcher, and working on farms. Alfred was a jack of all trades.
He enjoyed camping in his younger years, was a member of a bowling league, harness racing, playing cards, and BINGO. Alfred was a member of the Oldies But Goodies Senior Center in Gardiner, and Golden Oldies Senior Center in Richmond. Most of all he loved his family and doing activities with his grandchildren.
Alfred is predeceased by his parents; wife Grace; five brothers, Murvil, Daniel, Everet, Charlie, and Richard Christie, and a sister Elizabeth (Betty) Palmer.
He is survived by his son Fred Pushard, Jr. and wife Linda, daughter Dolores McKenzie and husband Clarence; two brothers, Scott Christie and companion Mary, and John Christie and companion Barbara; 11 grandchildren, Grace Powers and husband Daniel, Ronda Haskell and husband Michael, Christal Hurd, Jamie Pushard and wife Chrissy, Peter Pushard and wife Dawn, Shane McKenzie and companion Deirdre, Karen, Natanis, Kendra, Beckey, Carole; seven great- grandchildren, Shawn Palmer, Dylan Haskell, Abigail Haskell, Kaden Adams, Kaleb Hurd, Anthony Pushard and Daniel Powers; two great-great-grandchildren, Braelyn and Avalyn Pushard; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Bill Bonenfant.
