Pearl Marie (Groover) Cutinha Donker spent her entire life in the Lee County Florida area. She resided in Alva, Bokeelia, Fort Myers, Denaud and Yulee, just to name a few.

Pearl married Joseph "George" Cutinha sometime after his divorce to Edith McCann (mar. Jan 1938-1942).

They had three sons, Roy E., John E, and Nicholas Joseph Cutinha, who was a medic, killed in Vietnam, and he awarded the Medal of Honor.

Pearl divorced Joseph in May of 1960 to marry "J. D." Donker after his divorce in March of 1960. Pearl and J. D. divorced in December 1964 and she never remarried.

In 1988, on the day of her death, she was survivied by her mother, Jewel D. Groover of Yulee; a son Roy of Bokeelia; two daughters, Hazel Barber, and Jewel White, both of Yulee; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 pm, Monday January 4, in the Chapel of the Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral Florida. The family received friends on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home. ...

August 2018: confirmed with the Coral Ridge Funeral Home that the family had the memorial service for Pearl Donker with cremation thereafter. They have no records that she was inurned at Coral Ridge Cemetery, therefore, the ashes must have been returned to family. It is unknown if her ashes might have been buried with her parents in Georgia.
