Negley Williams, 71, of 904 East Poplar St, West Frankfort, a Postal Clerk in the West Frankfort Post Office for 45 years, died at 1:40am today in Franklin Hospital, Benton, after a brief illness.

Mr Williams retired from the Post Office in December, 1965.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, West Frankfort. Mr Williams was born Oct 16, 1899 in Broughton, the son of Joe and Ella Benson Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; a daughter, Mrs H R Darnell of Carpentersville; a granddaughter he and his wife raised, Mrs Jerry Burton of Forrest
Sisters, Mrs Ruth Bedard of Louisville, TX and Mrs Ann Reddick and Mrs Grace Eldridge, both of West Frankfort.

Burial in Tower Heights Cemetery, West Frankfort.
