1930 - 2018
Our loving dad, Grandpa John, passed away peacefully in our beautiful heaven on earth, Charleston, Utah (The Heber House), surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Tilly.
Johnny was born June 22, 1930 in North Salt Lake, Utah. On September 15, 1950, he married his true love Maryan "Tilly" Harrison. They filled their home with seven children: Kelly, Tim (Lisa), Barry (Karla), Corey (Becky), Genny, Jackie (Sam). Their daughter Tracey precedes him in death. He is also survived by a brother, Bruce (Lilly) Christensen, sisters, Nola (Wes) Waters, and Ruth (Dee) Oyler, his brother James Martin (Belva) precedes him in death.
A man with an iron will, a soft heart, and true grit leaves a legacy that will live on through his 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 30 antique tractors. In Charleston, with Grandpa, we never realized we were making so many unforgettable memories because we were having too much fun.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, with a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
